The next generation of Sony PlayStation Portable is reportedly being assessed to have a phone feature. This would perhaps rival the Apple iPhone, which has been a combination of iPod, wifi internet browser, and mini-computer with hundreds or even thousands of application available for installation. Sony is planning to integrate cellular phone capability to its PlayStation Portable Go units through Sony Ericsson, which is a joint venture cellular phone company between Sony and Swedish mobile phone make Ericsson. The cellular phone feature will surely pack a lot of kicks in this new device to be unveiled by Sony which is expected to go on sale by October 1 in the North Americas for a reported price of $249. Some of the features of PSP Go are: 43% lighter than the current PSP, screen slider, 16GB of built-in flash memory, Bluetooth capability (which could possibly mean that it could be used as a PS3 controller).
